Funny thing: my little boys don’t say why.

They ask “how?” all the time. I don’t know where they got it, but that’s what they say. It’s clear they mean “why”, but they always say how. Or “have to?”.

I’ve tried getting them to ask why, but when the conversation goes like this it can be a bit frustrating for them:

adult: (states a fact of some sort)
3yo: How?
adult: No, why honey.
3yo: I dunno

So I gave up and answer the “how’s”, lol.

You have the opposite problem as me. For me all they say is “WHY?” when I answer, “WHY?” when I answer again, “WHY?”
