Encouraging Heroes. You can be one too.

A dear dear friend just let me know that her son died this morning. He had been fighting cancer for years, and today lost that battle. To my knowledge, Jeremy was 25 years old.

That’s too young to die.

If you’re the praying type, could you remember my friend for a while? She’s struggled with depression in the past.

I’ll admit I was in the middle of a frustrating situation with one of the boys when the call came. Ironic, eh? Funny how a clash with reality can cause a fast reorganization of priorities.

Do me a favor, okay? Tell your kids you love them. Today. Even if you’re in the middle of a conflict or struggle. You never know, maybe a surprise hug or “I love you” may get a positive response. No matter what, they’ll remember what you said or did.

It’s important.
