Encouraging Heroes. You can be one too.

I made a new friend! Chrystina of Swains R’Us was kind enough to give me the One Lovely Blog award. In addition to that, she gave me some fantastic encouragement which I treasure more than she knows. And, her hubby is in the Army either already deployed or close to it. That makes Chrystina even more of a hero in my eyes (and her hubby too). Thanks, Chrystina, so much! I’m thrilled that you thought of me!

Here are the rules for the One Lovely Blog award. Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link. Pass the award to 15 other blogs that you’ve newly discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.

So. Here are the blogs that I want to give the award to:

Angies Pangies is a food blog that has saved dinner more than once. Angie is a personal friend with a fantastic sense of humor. And she’s a great chef!

Lemback Blog – Potpourri of Ramblings. This is Marlene’s blog and she’s just so sweet! I found her just a couple of weeks ago and always enjoy her thoughts, even though she’s fantastically busy and doesn’t get to write as much lately.

Bigg Success is George and Mary-Lynn’s blog. Okay, I didn’t just find them…I’ve known them for over a year, having met at SOBCon08 and again this past spring. These are two people that are just wonderful, and I’m still grateful for the time I got to spend hanging out with them in Chicago. Bigg Success is a podcast, and always a great listen.

Blue Yonder is another blog with a sweet spirit. Stefani appreciates so many facets of just everyday life. It’s always worthwhile to share her observations on life.

Flexible Dreams is written by Amy, and she doesn’t know it but we share a favorite Bible verse. Psalm 37:4 is in her header and it’s a very special verse in my life as well. “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” That was Hubby’s and my wedding verse. πŸ™‚

Grasping for Objectivity is Rachel’s blog, and if you don’t mind poo stories her most recent post is hilarious! Reminds me of the time that TechnoBoy had a blowout at the doctor’s office. I was there with my precious father-in-law, and because there were no clothes to change into he hurried over to KMart and returned with a shorts set and tights! In October. We put him in the shorts and shirt (I declined to use the tights) and hurried him to the car to get home and into more sensible clothes. Where was I? Oh yea, Rachel’s poo stories. They’re great! And her daughter is adorable.

Halfway to Normal is Kristin’s blog, and she always has such deep thoughts. If you want some thought-provoking reading, this is the place to be.

The Happy Housewife is another military wife (and another hero) who writes about living a debt-free life, being frugal, homeschooling, and managing seven (7!!) children. She’s amazing.

Helene writes at I’m Living Proof that God Has a Sense of Humor. That’s because she has two sets of twins! Like me!! I think God is laughing harder with Helene because her kiddos are closer together in age than mine. For that I’m thankful. πŸ˜‰

Middlezone Musings is written by Robert Hruzek. This is a man with a gentle spirit and a gift for storytelling. I got to sit with Robert at SOBCon09 and he’s as genuine in person as he is online.

Polly founded Families with Purpose which is a tremendous resource for busy families. She blogs at Our Busy Family Life and if you want some help getting ready for Christmas, head over there right now and download the free 8 Weeks to a Frazzle Free Christmas plan.

Nan writes at Things I’ve Found in Pockets. If you get a chance, check out the list! It’s a riot. She just made a major move and is handling the massive changes in life with her usual grace and humor.

Okay, how many is that? 12. Phew, I’m exhausted (I’ve been sick for over a week – am going to see a medical professional tomorrow). I know Chrystina will forgive me for stopping here. πŸ™‚

Thanks to everyone for writing such great stuff! I really enjoy reading it all. And now, go forth and recognize more blogs, award winners!
