Encouraging Heroes. You can be one too.

So, a friend of mine called this week, all excited because her daughter was on her way into the hospital to give birth to the family’s very first grandchild. The boys heard me take the call, so they knew what was going on.

Some time later I discovered the trick to setting a default word processing program in my computer. For several weeks now, WordPad has been opening everything up and just totally ruining any formatting and generally driving me crazy. I couldn’t figure out how to get another program to take over. Turns out, it’s in the “folder commands” section of the Control Panel. Who knew??

I was so pleased at no longer having to open a program, get stuck in Wordpad’s error message about formatting, wait for the page to load, quit out of Wordpad, open the program of my choice, and then open the page I wanted that I whooped and hollered in self-congratulation.

Captain Earthquake got all excited. “What are you cheering about?? Did Alli lay her baby?”

And yes, we did have a brief conversation about the differences between chickens and people.

With that, welcome to the April 2, 2010 edition of Fun For Your Friday.

I’m on it so much, I get asked for advice in creating group and fan pages or using the social ads. There are so many interesting, weird and downright stupid groups out there that deserve some spotlight for even being created.”
