Parenting Help: Ask Your Pharmacist When You Need Health Information

thumbnail image of pharmacy infographic

A new study was released last month illustrating that pharmacists answer plenty of questions about prescription medications, but not as many about over the counter products. Think about it: you have access to a knowledgeable medical professional, and all it costs you is time at the pharmacy to get your questions answered.

According to the study, only about 1 in 5 people will ask a pharmacist about non-prescription medications. 1 in 2 will ask about prescriptions. Think of the resource that’s being wasted here! The survey looks at pharmacists’ recommendations for energy, heart health, a strong immune system, and what to look for when you want quality vitamins. You can see the full survey results press release or check out this informational graphic (click on image for larger zoomable size). Enjoy!
