Encouraging Heroes. You can be one too.

Heroes, I don’t know if you experience allergies to any degree, but I can tell you that I personally have seasonal allergies…all 4 seasons of the year. Seriously, in the winter it’s dust and pet dander, then in the warmer months it’s trees, grass, and molds. And also pet dander and dust. There are a few more items on the list, but that is the majority of my difficulties. When it rains and tamps down the dust, the mold kicks up. Not a lot of fun! I can tell very easily if the house has been vacuumed adequately or not, because the sneezing. Oy. The sneezing. Also, the dry, itchy eyes and sniffly nose doesn’t really endear me to the family.

I was at a meeting recently suffering from an allergy attack when a pastor walked into the room. He looked straight at me and interrupted proceedings to ask if I was experiencing ill health or did he need to do an intervention. I assured him that a) I was fine and b) it was just allergies, not a cold. I really did look that bad!

Yesterday I got an email inviting me to try out Clorox Triple Action Dust Wipes. Removing dust = wonderful, so I zipped out to the store this morning and got a box. I spent $5.99 on a box of 54 wipes. There was also a box of extra large wipes that would fit on one of those dusting contraptions for $4.86. I thought about it, but then decided I’d be doing more work by hand than by contraption, so I got the smaller wipes.

According to the good folks at Clorox, one wipe is enough to dust an entire room. After testing one out, I believe it! The cloth is just a little big clingy…not sticky really, but enough to grab and hold a LOT of dust.

I also appreciate how the box is designed. I can pull one wipe out at a time and it only takes one hand. The box top closes down securely to keep the wipes fresh and ready for use.

Rather than just go around a room and dust, I decided to go for a bigger challenge. Last year I set a printer out on a shelf in the garage, intending to sell it. Time passed and dust settled. I brought it in today and boy oh boy was it filthy!

I also had to clean off the owner’s manual and some packages of printer paper.

Please forgive my very freckled hand, Heroes. I wasn’t aware exactly how spotted I had become this summer until I saw this picture.

I’d say that printer was almost shiny, wouldn’t you?

The wipe is definitely holding the dust extremely well, and it’s still ready to do a lot more cleaning before it’s through. This is definitely a product that I plan to keep around. I know Hubby will be super fond of it as well. He really values clean, and if there’s a convenient way to do it, even better.

So yes, Clorox Triple Action Dust Wipes get the Earnest Parenting stamp of approval. Try them for yourself! I’d love to see the before and after pictures of your experience with them.
