A dear dear friend just let me know that her son died this morning. He had been fighting cancer for years, and today lost that battle. To my knowledge, Jeremy was 25 years old.
That’s too young to die.
If you’re the praying type, could you remember my friend for a while? She’s struggled with depression in the past.
I’ll admit I was in the middle of a frustrating situation with one of the boys when the call came. Ironic, eh? Funny how a clash with reality can cause a fast reorganization of priorities.
Do me a favor, okay? Tell your kids you love them. Today. Even if you’re in the middle of a conflict or struggle. You never know, maybe a surprise hug or “I love you” may get a positive response. No matter what, they’ll remember what you said or did.
It’s important.

((((Amy)))),
Prayer for the family and you too. It is so sad when that happens. It does cause a reality check.
HUGS and prayers for everyone. I’m so saddened by this news.
Very sad to hear. I have lost family and friends to cancer and it is always difficult to accept.
I talk to my kids every single day on the phone and I always tell them that I love them. Not only that, I stay involved in their lives even though they are far away.
Very nice and on point post btw.
I am not a father yet but when I do become one, I plan on hugging and kissing my kids every day.
But when my father hugs me i feel better
