Well it’s official. I’ve been coughing up lungs due to a slight case of pneumonia. I knew asthma was giving me a hard time, but the pneumonia diagnosis was a bit of a surprise. Thankfully the doc gave me a breathing treatment and I am already SO much better! That oxygen is handy stuff. Do you use it often?
Stay tuned over the next days and weeks for some neat giveaways! The blog has been getting more and more attention lately, and that translates into prizes for you, Internets! I love giveaways. First one’s tomorrow, so if you’ve got young-ish kiddos, be sure to stop by and enter.
I haven’t done a Heroes In Parenting entry for a few months. Not to worry, it’s still as important as ever to me, but I’ve been revamping the plans in an attempt to make it better. Details out on that by the end of the month. I hope.
Spammers have been getting creative with hilarious jokes of late and I’m usually sorry to have to delete the comments. One gem from today: Did you hear about the cannibal who was expelled from school?
He was buttering up his teacher.
Bwahahahahaaaa! If only it wasn’t connected to an advertisement for items that I don’t care to highlight on the blog.
My post over at GNMParents (now ForeverParenting)went up again on Monday, and it’s an update on how things are going with sweet Keely. Plus there’s a new pic of her with the article.
Also! I got included in the Carnival of Homeschooling this week. Hopefully some more people will start playing on the Fun for Your Friday posts. Hint, hint!
Aaaaand with that, I’m off to write a few contest posts, look at some guest posts, and in general do work related to posts. The older boys and I invented a new game today in Latin that I can’t wait to share with you.
Toodles!
Earnest Parenting: help for parents who need extra details this week.
hope you are feeling better soon! My kids have asthma..and I get it once in a while when I am sick, so I know that of which you speak…asthma meds can be like magic sometimes! Thanks for visiting my blog and most importantly- commenting, so I can visit you here. Enjoying your blog! Wow, two sets of twin boys, I can only imagine the noise level, my one boy is louder than my 3 girls together.
have a blessed week,
Jenny, things are already MUCH better! I can’t quite run up and down stairs yet, and the cough is still hanging on. But I don’t feel like I’m going to throw up my lungs anymore. I’m very glad to have visited! It’s so nice to make new friends. 🙂
Having those asthma, I really cannot take it when I have it on me, sometimes i feel like dying coping it u with air. Hopefully the medication still is the best way to have them, But it would really takes me a week to recover. I really have a bad genes on me. As parents we really do find all the good things that we can give to them that is why for them we are really the heroes.
