If you’re looking for free, family-friendly fun, come to Times Square (home of Good Morning America) on Saturday, March 9, 2013 to kick off Good Deeds Day – an event that will inspire the whole family to discover the joy of doing a good deed. Join us and be part of the Good Deeds festivities, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Times Square Studios, located at West 44th St. and Broadway.
Good Deeds Day is an annual celebration of giving – where people, organizations and businesses pledge to do a good deed for others. It was initiated in ’07 by global business leader and philanthropist Shari Arison and has grown since to more than 250,000 “Good Deed Doers” in more than 50 countries. This year, some 400,000 are expected to take part all over the world.
- Do a good deed on the spot with volunteer organizations at the Good Deeds Fair, including Jumpstart, New York Cares, Habitat for Humanity – New York City, generationOn, USO of Metropolitan New York and participate in fun Good Deeds activities for the entire family, like painting a mural, building bikes, constructing paper houses and joining in special reading sessions.
- Your photo can be larger than life in Times Square. Our “Good Deed Fan Cam” could put you and your family on the Times Square SuperSign’s giant Jumbotron screen for all the world to see!
- Meet Shari Arison and receive free Good Deeds Day giveaways, along with a complimentary signed copy of Shari’s new book Activate Your Goodness – Transforming the World through Doing Good (while supplies last).
Every single person can do something good, be it large or small, for the benefit of others. Whether it’s as simple as a smile or joining a community project, every good deed you do makes a difference in the world. Be a part of a record-breaking day of Good Deeds in New York City!
