‘Round about 4 am local time, I heard the patter of little feet heading my way. The conversation went like this:
Captain Earthquake: Mama, can I sweep wif you?
Me: No, honey, you have to sleep in your own bed. I can’t sleep when you’re in my bed.
(We have so gone down this road before. He’s only slept through the night for the past several months.)
Captain Earthquake: Okay.
Captain Earthquake: Mama, can I cover you up?
Me: No thank you sweetie. I’m already covered. You go back to bed now. I love you.
Captain Earthquake: Okay. I love you too. pads off toward bed and doesn’t return
