Encouraging Heroes. You can be one too.

Editor’s note: Howdy, Heroes! As a person who looooooves to travel, this article has me drooling.

Europe is the perfect destination for a family vacation, particularly as there are so many fun activities you can do together. Whether your family is sporty and active or relaxed and easy-going, Europe is sure to be a great choice for you to make.  There’s plenty to do for kids and teenagers alike, and adults will be sure to have great fun too!

A fun activity for families in London… The London Eye
Kids love telling their friends about a trip on the London Eye! On a clear day you can see for up to twenty-five miles (40KM), or as far as Windsor Castle, and the Eye takes a leisurely thirty minutes per rotation. The views of Westminster and the Houses of Parliament are stunning, and you can also see St Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, the Gherkin, and much more. As one of the England’s most iconic sights, it’s a must-see if you’re looking for fun activities to do with your family in Europe!

A fun family activity in Brussels… The Belgian Comic Strip Centre
Located in the heart of Brussels, more than 4.200 m² of permanent and temporary exhibitions dedicated to comics can be found in The Belgian Comic Strip Center. The building itself is a beautiful example of Art Nouveau design, so even if you’re not a comic book fan like your kids, you’ll still find lots to appreciate during this fun family activity!

A fun family activity in Berlin… Zoologischer Garten & Aquarium
Located in the Tiergarten, this is the most popular zoo in Europe and the oldest zoo in Germany. The zoo has almost 14,000 creatures, including some rare and endangered species, and there’s also an aquarium with sharks and crocodiles among other incredible exhibits. The design of the zoo and aquarium’s interior never fails to impress, and the landscaped gardens are perfect for picnics. It’s a great example of a fun activity to do with your family while in Europe, and it’s a wonderful educational and entertaining choice to make.

A fun activity for families in Edinburgh… The Edinburgh Festival
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the largest arts festival in the world and takes place every August for three weeks in Scotland’s capital city. As well as both big names and unknown artists performing dance, theatre and music among other events and exhibitions, there are also lots of activities to enjoy as a family. There’s children’s comedy, storytelling and, for the younger kids, play activities, so there really is something for everyone.

A fun family activity in Barcelona… The Magic Fountain
Located in Montjuïc, the stage for the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, the Magic Fountain is one of the city’s favourite tourist attractions. The Magic Fountain display provides a spectacular mix of colour, light, motion, music and water acrobatics, and we’re sure that you’ll enjoy it as much as your kids do! The Magic Fountain display does not run on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays however, so make sure you plan ahead.
