Are you able to open-enroll your children if you aren’t fond of the local school? What are test scores, dropout rates, and graduation statistics like? Understanding these will make sure that you make the right housing decision for you and your family. If the schools in the area aren’t good, it may mean that you need to look elsewhere. Deciding how important the schools are to you is a family decision that should be discussed before looking for a new apartment.
Local Amenities
Whether you plan to walk to the grocery store, take the bus, or drive your car, you need to take a look at the local amenities. This will help you decide if there are the right amenities for you and your family. If there is a gas station nearby, but the grocery store is miles away, you may decide that you want something closer to the grocery store. Amenities shouldn’t make or break an apartment decision in most cases, but it should help play a role in finding the perfect place.
