Today is my birthday. I’m planning to spend the day with quilting buddies at an all-day sewing event so Hubby, the boys, and my in-laws celebrated at dinner last night. The cake was delicious! Hubby had a baker make it and she calls it canolli cake. I’ll be enjoying that for some time to come. Hmmm, perhaps I’ll freeze a bunch of it.
The neatest thing was the boys going out to the front yard and waving sparklers while they sang Happy Birthday loudly to me. So sweet!

Happy belated birthday to you! If I could find a way to sing in comments, I totally would. I hope it was wonderful for you. Cannoli cake and sparklers! That’s completely fantastic and I am very jealous. 🙂 I’m guessing you kind of deserve it, though, so that’s okay. I guess.
Happy birthday! 2 days before mine. You look terrific at 20!
ROFL. The Mercenary was asking me if I could do a cartwheel and I said no, I’m getting too old for that. So he says, “What are you…..63? 64?” I gave him some life advice and said “ALWAYS guess in the 20’s. You can’t go wrong with that. Trust me.” He wanted to know what he should guess if the woman looked 120 years old.
20’s. Always guess in the 20’s. Which reminds me I have to update my about page since there are 3 birthdays this month in the family.
