TechnoBoy usually completes his math assignments by starting at the last problem on the page and working backward to the first. Normally this isn’t a problem but every once in a while he neglects to notice that he’s not on the right lesson and accidentally works on the wrong one.
This happened again the other day and I couldn’t resist teasing, “That’s what you get for working backwards on your math.”
He responded, “I like doing math that way. I work faster.”
Soooooo would you call that Reverse Psychology?
Heh, heh, heh. I crack me up. 😀

I believe TechnoBoy have good strategy but i hope he can answer it right.
math backwards = google pr
Haha, yeah reverse psychology at its best
I sure hope he can answer it right as well.
Lol so he starts with the hardest problems first?
First Time Fathers and Get Out of Debt: So far, so good. He is averaging 95% correct on his math papers this school year.
SEO Service Consultation Guy: LOL.
Jordans: Yup. He’s done his math that way for 2 or 3 years now. It pleases him, and I have no good reason to insist he change strategy.
Thanks everyone, for taking the time to comment! I love comments.
Lol thats a really smart concept because if you think about it people get tired of working so if the job gets easier its easier to finish. I think I’m going to start doing this for some of my college classes =)
In school, I always hated math. I never understood it – the numbers, letters and odd symbols. In college, I took a basic accounting class as a course requirement. I loved it – it suddenly made sense, because I was working toward a goal, doing math for a purpose. Glad someone else enjoys it, too.
why haven i thought about this. its totally brilliant! 🙂 I would never have to struggle with the hardest parts when im tired. will start doing this tomorrow. I’ll be back to tell you how it went.. 🙂
Jordans, now I’m regretting not thinking of that when I was in college! Good luck!
Accounting Tech School, I was horrible at math too until college. I think for some of us it just takes a while to suddenly click and then shazam! It all makes sense. I’ve enjoyed math ever since. I say this not having ever done trig or calculus, so my attitude may change in a few years when I have to teach it.
Lyrics, good luck with that! Do let us know how it worked out.
Technoboy is intelligent. and it is a really smart concept because if you think about it people get tired of working so if the job gets easier its easier to finish.
im glad im not the only one that sees math as backwards language! i tend to get math after i take a class then take it again, like algebra and statistics.
Franco, have you taken an accounting class? I haven’t but had to learn a little bit about debits and credits to handle the books for church. I STILL throw fits about those! Completely backwards. 🙂
Im current taking a college accounting class going over CPs right now. Amy id love to hear more from you, not to mention your gorgeous! if thats possible it seems that you really know what your talking about and i could learn a lot to further my success.
Sounds like franco has a little crush on our blog moderator haha loves finds itself in mysterious places, Accounting is a tough subject to learn but if you can learn it its very helpful for a home business.
Alex nice to meet you! I am a self-taught bookkeeper for a nonprofit organization. The little that I understand about accounting keeps me out of trouble but I know that taking a class in it would be helpful. If only I could just download all the information to my brain!
yes i agree accounting if done wrong can get you into some trouble, id like to really get a grasp of the concept.
yes, i am having much trouble with accounting, it doesnt help working full time though!
It just ok to answer the math problems backward, but make sure that you arrived at the same answer. But this is not the case, sometimes there are problems that need to be solve in a step by step matter to arrive to the answer correctly.
Dating Online, you are correct about the step by step issue. TechnoBoy isn’t doing each problem backwards (yet). He’s starting at number 30 in the assignment list and working that one before he does number 29, and so on until he gets to problem 1.
Getting the boys to work through things in a step by step fashion has been a difficult task. They’re more intuitive and The Mercenary in particular resists the drudgery of figuring things out when he can just guess. It’s been improving though. 🙂
Maybe he feels better thay way but i am hoping that all he’s answer are correct. lol!
Shopping Gurl, he does seem to manage. 🙂
I can say that Technie Boy have different strategy when it comes to studying math but i am hoping that he can answer it all correct. Well, i think you need to check after he answer it, to make sure that he is doing the right thing.
Carpet Cleaners, you’ve stumbled on one of my most hated tasks: grading papers, lol. I will be sure to check his work. I promise!
I think techno boy is intelligent because he has unique tactic. Well, i hope he is doing the right thing. lol!
Tap Dance Teacher, thanks I’ll pass along the compliment to TechnoBoy. He’s doing very well in math this year, even with doing the problems in reverse order.
