Celebrating Father’s Day

I ran across a couple of Father’s Day events that you may like. First, if you purchase a frosty from Wendy’s anytime over Father’s Day weekend (June 20-21) they will donate 50 cents from each sale to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The money goes to a program called Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, which funds adoption and foster care recruiting around the US. How cool is that?

Also, your child can create eCards for Dad at FrostyCard.com (sorry, site no longer exists). For every card they send Wendy’s will donate another 25 cents to the Dave Thomas Foundation. Kids can even make and attach chore coupons for Dad to cash in at his leisure.

Wendy’s is Hubby’s absolute most favorite fast-food restaurant, so I’m pretty sure we’ll be heading over there to enjoy a frosty on Father’s Day. Hey! That’s the first day of summer too. It’s a double holiday!

Another exciting giveaway is happening over at 5 Minutes For Mom. HP is giving away an HP MediaSmart Server LX195. If you take a lot of digital pictures or just need a large-capacity digital storage device, this is the prize for you. Check out 5 Minutes for Mom for more details.

  1. Yay… I almost forgot that it’s going to be father’s day soon. Better drop an e-mail to my hardworking dad this weekend. x_x

Thanks everyone, and I hope your Father’s Days are happy ones too! A father’s job is just as challenging (and rewarding) as a mother’s. I’m glad we’re taking the time to celebrate that.
