I’m heading off to do some sewing this weekend; one of my favorite activities. Just think: hour upon glorious hour in front of my sewing machine!
The heart sings in anticipation.
So…how about you? Anything fun planned for this weekend? Share with the group! How about you play along on Fun For Your Friday? Share a joke, blog post, video, or photo telling about your weekend plans.
Next week when I write the new FFYF post, I will go back and close the previous edition. At that time all legitimate links are converted to .html.
Links that are spam or inappropriate to the spirit of the game will be deleted. If you just link to a commercial web site, that’s not in the spirit of the game. Please link to something that makes you laugh. Or at least smile.
**Sorry, the link to this FFYF was broken and had to be removed. Please see other FFYF articles for some great laughs.
Special note!! This is the last week that FFYF will appear with the Mr. Linky format. We are changing over to a carnival format and will be on Blog Carnival.com for anyone interested in playing along.
Earnest Parenting: help for parents who love to sew. Just sayin’
Sewing is sooo cool. I don’t do any of it myself. But I remember my mom hand-made everything for us: clothes, toys, decoration, etc. I have great memories about it, longer lasting than about stuff we pick up from the store.

Tom, my mom made so many things for us growing up too! How wonderful those memories can be. Sadly, it’s cheaper now to just buy clothes from WalMart. I sew quilts, which pleases me no end, provides a useful item for around the house, and hopefully will be treasured by my boys someday.
I am planning to move to a new living place right now. I am exhaust from the old irritating environment that i was facing from last two weeks.
A new environment can be a wonderful thing! I hope all goes well. 🙂
My grandma used to sew during her leisure time. It kinda reminds me of her when I her the word sewing. There comes a time that She teach me on how to do it. I learn just a little but it was fun I say to you.
How wonderful that you have that memory! Do you still sew?
I envy you…I think sewing is a wonderful hobby. I can cross stitch and that’s about the extent of my experience with any kind of thread. Hope you enjoyed every minute!

I did enjoy it, thanks Tina! I’m almost finished with a quilt top for each boy. The neat thing about quilting is the fact that you pretty much just need to know how to sew in a straight line. I used to enjoy cross stitching. Now that soccer season is starting, I should dig some of the unfinished projects out and get busy on them! Thanks for the inspiration.
Yeah! Sewing is just a good hobby…I remember when I learn how to sew…It was in my elementary years…It was a requirement for us but I do love to that…Since there was a sewing machine in our house it become my hobby afterward…
find jobs hiring, yay for sewing!
